Human Genome Project

http://www.genome.gov/27534233

The Human Genome project has become successful due to the reduced costs of the DNA sequencing costs. The prices have been cut down to $100,000. they just recently gave out 19 million dollars for further sequencing technology developments projects. More labs are being built to do further sequencing studies. Many people have received fund rewards to continue the study.

My thoughts:
I think this is extremely important, because in a recession, you would think studyong would go down, and the price of life would be more.... in trouble, sort to say. But this company, NHGRI is able to give out so much money to fund so many people. So even though everyone else is in a recession, better and more effective studies are being done, and people are getting closer to finding better medications and treatments. It's also good that they've learned so much about the human genome and DNA and all.
